Warehouse Crew and Cinema Installer
Our canvas family consists of three companies: Posh Frocks and Wellies, Resonate Events and The Canvas Co. With a focus on temporary structures, we provide venues for wedding receptions, back garden cinemas, bars and boutique camping at British music festivals.
Most of our work takes place during the summer as we provide luxury boutique camping accommodation to festivals and events all across the UK, our customers include Kendal Calling, Glastonbury and bluedot festival to name a few. We also hire luxury canvas marquees for weddings and private events across the North West and back garden cinema equipment and tents for small parties and back garden parties
We are an ever-growing trio of businesses that are currently in search of two unique people who would love a lively and varied role that involves both driving and warehouse work. There will be the occasional night away as some events are a distance away from our base in Macclesfield.
Initially, both positions will be temporary for 5 months but there is potential for the right person to stay on full time.
This role flows across all three companies and consists of setting up marquee's for weddings, working in our warehouse helping to clean and prepare kit, installing back garden cinema setups an customers' houses, travelling to deliver kit to festivals and setting up tents at festivals. There will be lots of outdoor work and we need applicants to be physically fit.
Hours:
35 hrs a week contracted until the end of September on PAYE
5 day working week, working alternate weekends. When working a weekend, two days off are given during the week and these are expected to be taken Tues-Thurs
Lots of potential for overtime, paid as a bonus at the end of your contract
Possibility to extend the contract and become a full time roll depending on how busy we are and your performance
Available for immediate start for the right candidates.
Our training weekend is currently scheduled for May 11th and 12th attendance is essential.
The role in detail:
Setting up and taking down bell tents at local campsites
Bell tent cinema installs at customers' houses
Deliveries/collections of linen/bedding from the launderette
Keeping warehouse and kitchen areas tidy/clean, including sweeping, emptying bins, washing up etc.
Packing boxes with equipment for all three companies
Accepting deliveries and sending pallets at the warehouse
Delivering to festivals during the summer in our van, or your van
Fork lift driving - training given if you don't already have a license.

Required skills:
Must be physically fit
Experience driving LWB vans
Over 25 with a full UK driving license
Organised
Self driven
Good communication skills, happy talking to customers.
Desirable Skills:
Basic carpentry
Own van and willing to drive it for work, 40p a mile paid
Fork/Telehandler license would be a bonus but not necessary
Competent with Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience of working with music festivals - not necessary but beneficial
Good decision making skills
Analytical thinking with logistics experience
