Our canvas family consists of three companies: Posh Frocks and Wellies, Resonate Events and Canvas Co. With a focus on temporary structures, they provide venues for wedding receptions, back garden cinemas, bars and also boutique camping at British music festivals. 

Most of our work takes place during the summer as we provide luxury boutique camping accommodation to festivals and events all across the UK, our customers include bluedot, Glastonbury and Kendal Calling to name a few. We also hire luxury canvas marquees for weddings and private events across the North West as well as hire back garden cinema equipment and tents for small parties and back garden parties.

Warehouse worker, VAN DRIVER, MARQUEE CREW and cinema installer

We have 4 positions available for this role, 2 available to start immediately and 2 with a start date of 28th April.

We are an ever-growing trio of businesses that are currently in search of two unique people who would love a lively and varied role that involves both driving and warehouse work. There will be the occasional night away as some events are a distance away from our base in Macclesfield.

Initially, all positions will be temporary for 6 months but we do require 2 of the candidates to stay on full time after the 6 months trial is over.

This role flows across all three companies and consists of setting up marquee's for weddings, working in our warehouse helping to clean and prepare kit, installing back garden cinema setups at customers' houses, travelling to deliver kit to festivals and setting up tents at festivals. There will be lots of outdoor work and we need applicants to be physically fit.


Customer service Assistant

We are looking for a King or Queen of customer service for our team. Come and work with us and join our small friendly, ambitious and fast growing group of companies.

This is a part time role with flexible hours to suit the needs of the company. We estimate the hours to be 20 hours per week, and this can increase slighlty through the spring and summer months, and reduce slightly through the winter months.

The role can be fulfilled from home, but we also have an office that you can work from. If working from home we would request you work from the office at least once a month for catch ups.

This role could suit a university student or a parent with flexibility given for school runs etc.

  • Answering emails, bookings and customer enquiries

  • Answering the phone, bookings and customer enquiries

  • General office admin

  • Excel spreadsheets and word skills are necessary for this role

Warehouse Manager

We are an ever-growing trio and currently in search of a Warehouse Manager to assist with the day to day running of the warehouse.

We are looking for an experienced warehouse manager to run our warehouse in Macclesfield. You'll need excellent interpersonal skills as you'll be the key link between our warehouse and whats happening onsite at events across the UK.  This role is for someone with a keen eye for planning, incredibly well organised and great people management skills.

A well managed warehouse is critical to the success of our business, and we are looking for an experienced manager to lead this part of our operation.  You will work closely with our director to plan the daily, weekly and monthly tasks to be completed in the warehouse.  And you will be a key part of the warehouse team. 

Hands on practical skills to help with repairing and improving our kit is a necessity.

This is a very varied role, we are extremely busy from May to September with a team of between 6 and 9 working in the warehouse under your supervision.  During the quieter months from October to April this is a much smaller team of 2, completing tasks to clean and repair all our kit ready for the following busy season.

This is a full time role with a contract starting asap for the right candidate.

Pay will be £24k to 30k per year depending on experience

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Practical and handy with tools

  • Planning and organising skills to effectively manage the flow of stock

  • People management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas

  • Competent with Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Very organised!

  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Over 25 with a full UK driving license

  • Experience at driving large vans

  • Good communication skills

  • Good decision making skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
